My name is podili Sridevi w/o Raju Mattamgudem village ,Lingapalem mandal ,west Godavari district Andhra pradesh. The SEVA voluntary organization had conducting MEDP Training programme with the cooperation of NABARD in our village. I have participated for 15 days programme and got trained .As a leader of mother Theresa SHG Group, with my  savings in the bank ,I have  borrowed  some amount of money from  the SHG  and used for my family  needs .

This MEDP training programme was very helpful to me .Before this training I have been working as a tailor in my village and been receiving an income of Rs. 300/- per day, I have taken a personal loan   an amount of Rs.15000/-   from group, and brought an embroidery mission.

With this MEDP Programme I am able to work different types of embroidery designs on frocks, sarees, dresses, blouses etc. With this I am getting Rs.500/- of income each day now I have started a small tailoring shop in my village. Now  I am getting good orders for embroidery stitching, not only from my village but also  from neighbours villages .I have employed two helpers in my shop ,which helped me  to promote a source of income  to them .Now my husband is also showing interest to work along with me by sparing his leisure time with this work. We are also able to educate our boath the children in the nearby English medium school in our village .I thank NABARD for giving us this kind of support.
